Google has made big changes to Gmail, the world’s most popular email service and now more than 2 billion users must decide how they want to use the updated platform. The changes mark one of the biggest shifts in Gmail in more than 20 years.
The hacking hook is that the user has engaged in activity that does not comply with LinkedIn policy, and as such, the account is suspended on a temporary basis. That suspension is not being lifted until, you’ve guessed it, they list the link to submit an appeal.

That warning concerns what is known as a browser-in-the-browser attack and, according to the Trellix security boffins, is an advanced attack methodology that “tricks users by simulating a legitimate third-party login pop-up window (like a Facebook authentication screen) within the browser tab, effectively masking a credential-harvesting page.”

Tens of thousands of X users reported problems with the social media app and website Friday morning, according to the DownDetector website. X, formerly Twitter, is owned by billionaire Elon Musk.
Complaints recorded by outage tracker DownDetector began to exceed “typical” numbers shortly after 10 a.m. ET.
